Mr. Saharia has extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of civil engineering including engineering properties of soils; the properties and characteristics of concrete and steel; mechanical properties of fluids; the types and uses of equipment and materials used in building, bridge, highway, road, street, or tunnel construction. Mr. Saharia carried out overseas assignments in Iraq during the war. He went to Baghdad and northern Iraq to oversee construction of buildings for US troops in Iraq, and also designed administrative and school buildings in Afghanistan under the USAID program. He is an avid reader and likes to play the guitar whenever he finds some time. He also likes to spend quality time with his German Shepherd 'Buzz'.
